WHAT IS PERSONAL INJURY?

The field of Personal Injury Law is that which holds individuals or other entities to be responsible for any harm they may cause to others.
There are various forms of “Personal Injury” under New York State Law. Personal Injury liability may result from an automobile accident, in which you and harmed and damages are deemed to be greater than your own, or another person’s, insurance policy may cover. A Court may decide that a plaintiff’s injury requires more remuneration than his or her insurance company will provide. Or, a person may die as the result of the act of another person or entity, and New York State Law will determine that the deceased injured party’s life was worth more than his or her insurance company stated.
You may be the victim of an automobile collision in which an insurance company does not provide adequate compensation.
A government entity, such as a city, town, or county, may be negligent in providing safe walkways, or highways, resulting in a severe, unexpected injury to an individual.
A worker at a construction site may be injured beyond the responsibility of his or her insurance policy as a result of negligence by the owner of that construction site, or by others.
A child may be born with injuries resulting from a physician’s, or a hospital’s, wrongful action, or negligence.
You may fall victim to a Railroad Injury, regardless of responsibility.
